9847. Fot the XK140 Roadster,  OTS,  'Floating' Hood Location Bar or 'Hoodstick'. This version is specifically for the XK140 Roadster and glues into a fold in the material bottom seam. The XK140 version is different to other XK as it has to kink up and over the triangular boot spine chrome (1750). The wing section is ground down to locate into the teardrop neatly with material and should be treated with a good anti-rust treatment , to prevent rust forming in the fold after the hood gets wet. These were originally flash-chromed, but you can probably find a far more effective finish in the modern world.
