1 x SE824 Uprated Rear Crank Seal Conversion Kit. This is the original conversion, developed by a top Jaguar engine specialist. Fully and intensively dyno bench tested and proven to be the best seal kit on the market. The modern, one-piece, lip- seal provided in the kit is surgically cut in only one place for fitment. It was found that early designs using a completely split ( 2 cuts ) can induce the seal to spin in the housing and so failing. Replaces top ring C2258 and lower C2332 assembly.
NOTE: The crank does need to be removed and modified for first fitting. (If you are offered a conversion that states a modern lip seal will work on your original crosshatched sump this is incorrect as the oil grooves will rip the seal to shreds like a file). For this conversion the crank WILL be required to removed and be machined smooth, down to 75mm diameter.
New housings are provided with a groove for the cork seal as on an XK120/140/150 the cork strip seal (C2302) sits in the housing with the sump rear lip pushing up against it.
If you have a later type sump with a seal groove in it's lip, please advise us with your order, so we can supply the correct version for your sump.
For future maintenance the kit will allows for future seal replacement without the crank's removal.
