3497x 1. The MK2 3.8 / E-Type design of Clutch Slave Cylinder.  New design, but the Short body Type (85mm) that bolts directly to the bellhousing, operating a later 'paddle' type clutch arm. Original Number C21470.

NOTE : Sometimes customers find they have this cylinder fitted operating a 'paddle fork' (instead of the correct XK150 slave cylinder on its steel, perpendicular bracket (3499)), but fitting of it is only possible if  *THE BELLHOUSING IS NOT A CORRECT XK150 UNIT *. 

TO FIT AN INCORRECT BELLHOUSING ALSO REQUIRES THE WRONG STARTER MOTOR TO WORK and often incorporates incorrect matching flywheel (104 tooth) and gearbox, fitted as a complete transmission assembly.

THIS IS NOT A STANDARD XK150 PART, IT IS A COMMON(ISH) MODIFICATION / VARIANT ON CARS WITH INCORRECT DRIVETRAIN.
