4247 x 1. XK120 Steering Tie Rod Bush (standard size 0.910" or 23.10mm) repair insert unit. This is a sleeved repair unit for the joint that Jaguar at the 1950's referred to as the "Track Rod End" but we better refer to it as an inner knuckle (at end of steering centre cross- tube). The whole joint is not available new and can be very difficult to obtain as a used part (but please enquire with us).  Polyurethane is used in preference to the original rubber for improved performance. THESE 2 PINS HOLD THE STEERING CROSS SHAFT KNUCKLES IN PLACE. Original Jaguar reference number is C3494/1. (Also suits MkV Jaguar.)

FITTING ADVICE :
The original pin and rubber is completely removed from the knuckle joint and then the complete sleeve casing is pressed into the empty, cleaned out,  hole left in the knuckle, insert until to the bottom rim beds down. Take care not to crush the lower rim whilst fitting.

NOTE :  For an oversize / repair bush for arms already previously reamed out or damaged, use the Mk2 larger diameter pin for hole size of 1.002" (25.4mm) SEE :  4248
