1571 x 1 Kit.  VERY, RARE AND HARD TO OBTAIN. Recently retooled for more correct shape. This assembly is unique to the XK120 Drop Head coupe. A correct, 3-piece, rigid rear window assembly fitted ONLY to Jaguar XK120 Drop Head Coupes. This has a chrome plated outer section, chromed inner trim and clear pespex window to nicely match the chrome pin beading on the XK120 DHC hood. Listed as Backlight Assembly BD6760.

It took us 10 years to find a skilled specialist to make these again, due to the flat, complex curved section design that has to be perfectly flat when formed. The correct 'D-shape' outer surround which is jig formed and then chrome plated with its matched inner chrome trim surround. Most new hoods are remade with an incorrect, large, XK150 style, flexible perspex window in them for low cost. The window is a slightly flexible, tough acrylic that will take a light impact without shattering (scratch resistance against resilience is always a trade-off with perspex.) Supplied with instructions, stainless steel screws and 4 x buffers (for protection when folded against parcel shelf.)

The additional pictures show the un-plated outer surround which is made of a fabricated half pressed, D-shaped copper tubing. The rear trim screws through the window into the D-section with period slotted head (upgraded stainless steel) screws.

Please note that for illustration purposes, the window assembly is shown in situ on the XK120 DHC hood. Material Hoods themselves are made to seperate, special order and is are not part of this kit. Approx size is (mid.) height 6 1/4  x length 26 inches.
