9851 x 1. The Rare and often missing  XK120 & XK140  ROADSTER (OTS) Canopy Rail Bead with mounted nail on fittings. This is the detail that most Roadsters have missing!

It hides front hood flap to screen joint, where the strip hangs down over top rail joint. Often replaced with plain rubber "Hidem" banding, rather than the correct BD3838.

Comes supplied in brass, in-filled with lead and nails mounted.  This part is supplied in brass, to be part fitted to hood via the nails ( use part drilled holes ) then removed, chrome plated (without distortion)  and then is  finally re-fitted and fully secured using a soft wood over the top to avoid damage . Not an easy job to do properly, at all,  but if you drill through  it and put screws through the top, it really looks awful!!!
