On 10th June, 2023 we suffered the tragic loss of one of our staff, Carl Shilvock, who was taken unexpectedly in his sleep at the age of only 54. Although he was only working with us for a year he had become an invaluable and much loved member of the C.A.C. family. A man who was always busy working, he could build or fix absolutely anything from repairing 70 year old Lucas electrical horns from technical schematics to building brick walls, on top of so many other technical talents that we just do not have room to list here. Carl also had his own 30 year established exhibition stand business that supported JLR (Land Rover) at their many weekend and major show events and so will be greatly missed by all of us here and also in the exhibition circuits across the U.K. too. It’s time to finally take a rest now ‘Carlos’ (as we nicknamed him here).
Sadly on 30/11/21 we lost our good friend John Docker of Trinity Engineering. A supplier of bushes, bearings and top quality, engineered XK parts to us for well over 20 years. He was very much a part of the C.A.C family and he will be dearly missed by all of us.
Sadly on 9/08/22 we lost another good friend, William Greig, aged 56. Billy was self employed, but worked with us for over 20 years and was responsible for the hand polishing and plating of most of the beautiful chromework we manufacture here. He was also the advisor to Stuart on the worldwide published, chrome plating article you can find on this website. He is dearly missed by all of us here and all of his workmates at the polishing shop.
