1 x 1101. This is our own product, in solid brass, machined, for the  Drop Head Coupe's, single hole fastening, the front hood securing hook. Our own unique brass based, version of the serrated hook, made to offer a FAR STRONGER securing for the over-centre lever, hood clamps on the Drop Head Coupe models of Jaguar XK120, XK140 & XK150, so it will not sheer off like an original mazak (Monkey metal or aluminium alloy) one, if you need to 'lean on it' to fasten your hood down, which is normal practice! It is then Triple Chrome plated.

Why they made this from an aluminium base metal originally would be because after the war, higher grade metals were rationed, and difficult to obtain.

We have made this hook to last forever, whatever stress you put on it!
