Bolt-on Piston assembly for the late XK120 Jaguar, XK140 and early C-types etc. using the Girling self-adjusting 12" Drum brake system with the dome-topped front brake cylinder (1 1/8" bore). The dome receives the lead edge of the later (re-inforced) brake shoe. This is a twin leading shoe system, so 2 per side are required, a front wheel set is x 4. Castings are aluminium with steel pistons and inserts as original.

PLEASE NOTE: SOME CASTINGS ( and UNDERSIDE) PLATE ARE EXACTLY TO SIZE. OTHER REPRODUCTIONS ON THE MARKET CAN BE UPTO 3MM OVERSIZE (in height), TOTALLING A 6mm TOTAL OVERSIZE TO THE DRUM CIRCUMFERENCE WHEN 2 ARE FITTED. In this case the underside plate or end of brake shoes can be filed down if necessary. If drums and shoes are demonstrating wear, this may not be a relevent problem.
