On Fixed & Drop Head Coupes, the batteries in the panel behind the front seats are accessed from below a hinged, (tilting forward) Parcel or Luggage storage box, which has a trimmed, bottom hinged (SEE : 2517 ) wooden facia board fitted to it. This is then held closed, vertically in place by two large Oddie Fasteners ( SEE : 2515) at the top. A back hinged, trim board lid then closes over it (with concealed slam spring & button fastener).
