THIS IS AN EXCHANGE ONLY SERVICE FOR AN XK140 LUCAS DESIGN, CORRECT DR1, TWO SPEED WIPER MOTOR, FULLY REBUILT BY A LUCAS SPECIALIST. REBUILDS MAY ENTAIL A 2 WEEK LEAD. 

DRIVE GEAR SHOULD BE 90° SWEEP (STAMPED ONTO GEAR) AND ARE ALSO RARE NOW, SO WE WILL REMOVE YOUR GEAR  AND FIT INTO THE REBUILT MOTOR CASING FOR RETURN, OR REBUILD YOUR UNIT.

PLEASE TAKE GREAT CARE WITH THESE MOTORS WHEN SETTING UP AS HIGH SPEED RUNS AT HALF VOLTAGE, SO IS VERY EASY TO BURN OUT IF WIRED INCORRECTLY! DO NOT BENCH TEST THEM, JUST FIT IT!!

NOTE: Ensure you remove, strip and completely regrease the wheelboxes and wiper tubes when you rebuild the wiper motor as old grease tends to solidify and compact up (inside the motors too) , labouring the motor (possibly causing this rebuild). Refit the wiper rack components loose, run the motor and then finally tweek it up, when you are sure it runs freely or it can create additional drag on the motor, which may to another premature rebuild or the drive cable or wheelboxes wearing / breaking etc.

IMPORTANT NOTE : IF THE RED BADGE ON YOUR MOTOR DOES NOT SAY 'TWO SPEED', AS SHOWN, BUT 'TYPE DR', IT IS A SINGLE SPEED UNIT, SO IS NOT USABLE IN AN XK140 TWO SPEED SYSTEM! CHECK LUCAS PART NUMBERS IF YOU BUY A CORE UNIT.
