1 x SE710. HIGH TORQUE (reduction geared) STARTER MOTOR for standard manual & manual overdrive (M.O.D.) transmission XK120, XK140 & XK150's with correct, standard, 132 Tooth Flywheel. Based on powerful, modern, starter motor units utillising a custom built gear, made to fit the standard 132 tooth flywheel. This fitting of a lighter, modern tech, motor onto a classic engine, gives the benefits of lower current draw and a more powerful, high torque, kick-over. These modern motors use a push pinion, opposite to the Classic XK pull- through design, so a flywheel would benefit from a lead-in or reversed new ring gear (lead-in on the engine side, if rebuilding), but this is not essential. They come with correct XK bellhousing fitting flange (unlike some other brands, that charge you £50 extra for an adaptor) which is fully rotatable if you are building a Custom application, to avoid body obstruction. Comes with full instructions and all additional electrical fittings needed for fitting to XK.

FLYWHEEL IS A 132 TOOTH UNIT, PLEASE CAREFULLY COUNT YOUR TEETH BEFORE ORDERING, TO ENSURE YOU ORDER THE CORRECT UNIT FOR YOUR VEHICLE, THIS WILL PREVENT FLYWHEEL DAMAGE AS IT'S AN ENGINE AND GEARBOX OUT REPAIR.
WE CAN EASILY ORDER THE CORRECT TOOTH/RATIO STARTER GEAR TO MATCH YOUR FLYWHEEL, SO PLEASE DON'T 'ASSUME IT IS CORRECT'. MANY WORK FINE, BUT ARE NOT ORIGINAL SPEC!
NOTE :Many XKs have had starter & flywheel (and OFTEN complete bellhousing ) swaps in their history. Flywheel centres are similar, but the MK1 Saloon, 104 tooth flywheel is a common customisation,as the starter is a variant of the M45 and there were a lot of these saloons found in scrapyards in the period.
