1 x PAIR OF SOLID STEEL RACK MOUNTS TO REPLACE ORIGINAL METALASTIK RUBBER & STEEL BONDED TYPE MOUNTS.

Fitting this modification gives far greater feedback to the vague feel of the XK’s rack and pinion steering. It also eliminates the common problem of rubber bonds failing in use or storage from corrosion eating the bond away (delamination).

This is a racing modification / upgrade to your XK140 or XK150 favoured by the racers and not only provides more responsive steering and greater safety but is not an apparently visible change, leaving your XK with that same classic, unmodified look.

Please remember to still use correct shims (4206)  (as recommended in the workshop manual) so that the rack sits perfectly horizontal across the chassis to avoid stressing the steering rack transverse movement.

NOTE : Also suited to some period Aston Martins.
