8305 x 1. New XK (& MK2) Manifold 'Otter' or Choke Thermostat Switch & Gasket. This is the triangular topped, metal cased, temperature triggered, bi-metal strip that switches off the choke solenoid to turn off the automatic choke when the engine is up to temperature. Suits all XK120, XK140 & XK150 models. Comes with gasket and a modern male spade terminal as shown. Original REF. Number C2474 & 5

NOTE: The early versions had an acorn nut fixing the electrical flag (ring) terminal. This design is no longer available.

IMPORTANT NOTE : A common part to fail causing lumpy idle as it leaves fuel system in choke state. Vehicle starts when cold but then idle is lumpy when warm  as it is over-enriched.
