2210 x 1. A beautiful steering column volute springs, used for concealing the adjustable splined section of the XK120, XK140 and XK150 (and MK7 & 8 & 9 etc.) Manufactured for us by a UK spring specialist in a sprung, stainless steel, polished to shine like the original chrome plated version (that slowly became un-sprung over time). We have shown it next to the chrome end caps of an XK120 so you may compare the shine of the two pieces together.
It generally sits on its wide end to the column (in cap 2300) then reduces in width up to the slender diameter of the back of the steering wheel ( 2302) for XK140 & XK150.
NOTE : The XK120 Jaguar Parts List actually shows and describes the spring and caps in reverse, so the spring would taper downwards which does not look correct! See diagrams for all other steering parts, as we make everything except the columns themselves! We do keep used columns - so please enquire. Original Ref. C1024
