1681 x 1 pair. Here we have our own re-tooled  XK150 Roadster (OTS) Windscreen Side Pillar Finishers. Pressed from expensive, polished brass. We supply this pair in bare brass, as experience shows us that Roadster trim pieces (also the matching top 1552 ) always need to be trimmed / manipulated to each restored body to be perfect (as do the door top trims 1555 ) before the chrome plating is applied. Chrome plate is hard and will crack, possibly unnoticed, if you modify the part after plating, causing it to peel off prematurely.

We have tooled these from a nice original set to make the best reproduction we can, hopefully requiring minimal modification to fit perfectly, but be aware that the steel Roadster windscreen surrounds are hollow and are very easy to pull around, as they do take lot of strength from the screen glass itself, when it is fitted. (Original Toughened windscreen glass was more rigid than the modern Laminate, so this is another factor that allows for more movement with fresh rebuilds). So the chromes should be offered up to a screen with a nicely settled flat rubber seal.

NOTE : Once a fully trimmed hood is fitted, this extra weight exerts pull backwards on the screen, when raised, which can in cause the whole screen structure to settle further backwards, tilting it towards the door window chromes. This may then lead to re-setting of the door drop glass frames assembly.  Original Ref. BD13785 & BD13786.

WARNING : Never pull yourself out of your seat by pulling on any Roadster windscreen pillar or it will probably lead to a fracture of the laminated windscreen glass.
