8060. 1 x  XK150 'S' Correct  Air Cleaner Housing supplied with our (8100) re-usable, Hi-Flow Air Filter - designed to eliminate even the finest dust particles. This assembly is made to original specification, from quality steel, for a correct triple carburetor XK150 'S' spec. engine. This is the 'Later' oval XK150 design canister supplied with our superb, 3 stage racing, foam re-usable air filter element - as seen fitted on the 3rd picture above.

The side of the canister is made from steel mesh allowing good air flow, with a 2 bolt fastening, rimmed lid. When fitted to the vehicle, it requires the correct panels fitted  to extend over it from the carbs under the wheelarch. The filter element is replaced through the wheel arch. If you are customising another XK to take triple carbs, a nice modification is to make a 'door' into the top wing that sits over it to allow easy access. To be correct the filter housing should be painted black to look 'original'.

NOTE : Our housing sits at the correct angle to fit underneath the XK150 wing if you are using the correct angle manifolds. The similar, but different part number, E-Type manifolds flange design requires modification for the carbs to sit at the correct angle to the engine. Fitting this correct airbox will show this up when fitted.

Please note - This is the 'later' type housing. The early design box takes 3 circular filters, that are unobtainable now, as is the louvred top, airbox container that holds them!!!
